Honor has officially launched the Win2, its new performance-focused phone, in China, along with the Win Tablet, which Honor says is the first tablet with a built-in cooling fan.

The Win2 takes the built-in fan idea further than most. It has two: an upright cross-flow fan spinning at up to 20,000rpm and a side fan at up to 31,000rpm. Honor claims 284% more airflow than the original Win. That cooling is there to keep the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip running at full speed, backed by up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The display is a 6.89-inch OLED panel with a 1440 x 3104 resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate and a claimed 10,000-nit peak brightness. The battery is a huge 10,100mAh, with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, and the phone is rated IP68, IP69 and IP69K.

For a gaming-focused phone, the camera is surprisingly serious. The main camera uses a 200MP sensor with a large 1/1.4-inch format and OIS, alongside a 12MP ultra-wide and a 50MP selfie camera. There’s no telephoto, which is the obvious gap, but a high-resolution main sensor gives some room to crop. There’s also a light ring around the camera that reacts to games.

All of that comes at a cost in size: the Win2 is 8.5mm thick and weighs around 237g.

The Win Tablet has an 8.4-inch, 240Hz OLED screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 10,000mAh battery and a fan running at up to 15,000rpm, all in a 6.1mm-thick body weighing 315g.

Honor also launched the Win2 RT and Win Turbo2 alongside the Win2, but hasn’t released full details of those models yet.
