Hohem Launches iSteady MT3 Gimbals and SSD-01 at CES

Stabilisation and storage tools made to power pro-grade video

At CES 2026, Hohem unveiled two major additions to its creative ecosystem: the iSteady MT3 Series AI-powered gimbals and the SSD-01, its first high-speed portable SSD. Built to simplify and enhance the production process for photographers, filmmakers, vloggers and hybrid creators, these new tools combine advanced stabilisation, intelligent tracking, and pro-level data transfer in compact, travel-ready designs.

The iSteady MT3 Series, comprising the MT3 and the higher-end MT3 Pro, introduces next-generation stabilisation with improved AI performance and better ergonomics. Designed for use with mirrorless cameras, smartphones, and action cameras, both models feature Hohem’s iSteady 10.0 algorithm, tackling common stabiliser issues like lag, drift and motor instability.

The iSteady MT3 Pro stands out with a removable wireless touchscreen remote that includes a 1.4-inch full-colour display for real-time control and monitoring from up to 33 feet away. A 2MP AI camera enables multimodal subject tracking, recognising people, cars, pets and more across varied shooting environments, with subject recognition extended up to 26 feet. The MT3 Pro supports a 5.5 lb payload, offers 40% more motor torque than previous models, and integrates multiple mounting points for accessories like Hohem’s Spot Mini follow focus motor. It’s priced at $449, with a Pro Kit including accessories for $549.

The standard iSteady MT3, at $329, offers a lighter build (under 1.7 lb) with a 3 lb payload, 13-hour battery life, and simplified operation via a 0.4-inch OLED display. Aimed at vloggers and solo shooters, it includes gesture control, AI human tracking up to 16.4 ft, quick vertical shooting, and intuitive balancing—all without the need for adapter purchases. It’s ideal for mobile creators looking to achieve smooth, cinematic footage in a compact form factor.

In parallel with its gimbal updates, Hohem introduced the SSD-01, a portable solid-state drive developed for high-speed, on-the-go video capture and workflow efficiency. Designed with mobile creators in mind, it supports Apple ProRes RAW and Open Gate video recording on the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, allowing users to record 4K 120 fps full-sensor footage with stability and precision.

Weighing just 1 oz, the SSD-01 delivers read speeds up to 2000 MB/s and write speeds up to 1800 MB/s, thanks to its dual USB 3.2 Gen ports. It also functions as a 3-in-1 hub with three Type-C ports for storage expansion, microphone integration, and 65W fast charging, removing the need for separate accessories. Its durable aluminium and ABS body is water- and drop-resistant up to 6.5 ft, and an auto-save feature protects files from unexpected shutdowns—ideal for fast-paced or critical shoots.

With support for both mobile and traditional camera setups, the SSD-01 is designed to be lens-friendly, avoiding interference with framing, and is small enough to mount directly to stabilisers and rigs without clutter.
