FUJIFILM Corporation has unveiled the FUJIFILM GFX100S II, the latest addition to its mirrorless digital camera GFX Series. This new model features a large-format sensor approximately 1.7 times larger than a 35mm full-frame sensor and is designed to deliver exceptional image quality and performance in a compact and lightweight body.

The GFX100S II’s newly developed 102MP sensor and X-Processor 5 deliver rich tonal gradations and a shallow depth of field, making it ideal for both professional photographers and enthusiasts. The camera’s compact body, combined with its powerful image stabilisation and high-speed autofocus, enhances the user experience, allowing for precise and detailed captures.
Extraordinary Image Quality: Equipped with the GFX 102MP CMOS II sensor, the GFX100S II offers breathtaking resolution and exceptional colour reproduction. The sensor’s improved pixel structure allows for better light efficiency, particularly at the edges, enhancing image quality and autofocus accuracy. The camera also includes 20 Film Simulation modes, including REALA ACE, and a Pixel Shift Multi-Shot feature that can generate approximately 400MP images.
Enhanced IBIS Mechanism: The GFX100S II features a meticulously designed 5-axis IBIS, offering up to 8 stops of anti-shake performance. This enables comfortable hand-held shooting even in low-light conditions. Despite these advanced features, the camera maintains a compact size, measuring approximately 150mm in width, 104mm in height, and 87mm in depth.
High-Speed Autofocus and Continuous Shooting: The camera’s AI-based subject detection AF and improved algorithms enhance face and eye detection and tracking of various subjects such as animals, birds, and vehicles. The GFX100S II achieves continuous shooting at up to 7.0 frames per second, ensuring users can capture decisive moments with precision.
Professional Video Capabilities: The GFX100S II excels in video production, offering 4K/30P recording with high-quality 4:2:2 10-bit output. The camera supports Apple ProRes recording via external SSD and includes a tracking AF function during video recording. With 13+ stops of F-Log2 dynamic range, the camera provides flexibility for post-production.
Authenticity and Content Provenance: Fujifilm has joined the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) and the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) to enhance trust in digital media. The GFX100S II will support Content Credentials, providing secure, tamper-evident metadata to digital content, enhancing the authenticity and context of images and videos.
Pricing and Availability:
The FUJIFILM GFX100S II will be available in the UK from 17 June 2024, priced at £4,999 including VAT. The optional metal hand grip will be available for £135 including VAT.
