Pergear is known for its camera accessories and lenses and now the company has launched their first action camera. While the camera boasts a range of features that I’ll come on to in a bit, the camera is aimed at the entry-level with a price that will make it an attractive option for those who don’t want to spend a fortune on the likes of the GoPro Hero12 Black or OSMO Action 4.
The Pergear 5K 50MP features a dual-screen setup and is equipped with a high-definition 1.3-inch front display, to help enhance selfie videos. You also have the option to seamlessly switch between the main and sub screens to capture the perfect shot; simply long press of the “down button” swiftly toggles between the screens, providing flexibility for various shooting scenarios.
Ease of use is at the heart of this camera and the company has been keen to promote the camera’s easy operation.
This camera offers an array of recording options. What is impressive for a camera in this price range is the video resolution of up to 5K at 30fps, which makes it an ideal solution for a range of activities. and as ever, the camera features a wide-angle HD lens, giving footage the distinctive action camera look. The camera’s dual-screen setup, featuring a 2.0-inch IPS screen and a 1.3-inch high-definition secondary screen, provides an immersive experience for viewing and playing back videos.
The camera also meets many of the standard requirements for an action camera such as featuring a removable battery, support for up to 256GB memory card, various video recording formats and shooting modes, including normal, timer, automatic, and continuous shooting.
There is of course an app, available for both Android and iOS and WiFi functionality, enabling you to control the camera from your mobile phone.
