Ricoh has announced a new a duo of new lenses for use with its K-mount DSLR cameras, introducing the HD PENTAX-FA 35mm f/2, HD PENTAX-DA*11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW.
The compact HD PENTAX-FA 35mm f/2 is based on the is based on the smc PENTAX-FA 35mmF2 AL from Pentax’s film days. The new Pentax lens features a multi-layer HD coating to the optical elements designed to reduce flare and ghosting, while boosting contrast.
A new stain-repellant coating is on the front element to protect it outdoors, and Pentax has given the new revamped 35mm f/2 lens a more compact portable body.
The HD PENTAX-FA 35mm f/2 price tag will be £399.99 with a February release date.
Meanwhile, the company has expanded its Star-series lenses with the new HD PENTAX-DA*11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW.
The HD PENTAX-DA*11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW is an ultra-wide-angle zoom that now gives the Star series coverage from wide angles up to telephoto focal lengths.
The HD PENTAX-DA*11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW is designed for Pentax’s APS-C cameras and comes with a weather-resistant construction and a new Focus Clamp Mechanism to lock focus at your desired focal point.
Other design features include a new space on the lens designed for holding a heating device to prevent condensation, and a metallic frame structure, which more effectively transmits the heat of the device to the lens.
The HD PENTAX-DA*11-18mm f/2.8 ED DC AW price tag wil be £1,399.99 with a release date set for February.
