Ricoh has announced a new Pentax DA 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 ED fisheye zoom lens, priced at $499.95.
The new HD PENTAX-DA FISH-EYE 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 ED lens offers a minimum focusing distance of just 14cm, which allows photographers to stand as close as 2.5cm to their subjects.
The new Pentax lens’s optical construction consists of 10 elements in 8 groups, which also incorporates an Extra-low Dispersion glass element to suppress chromatic aberrations.
There’s also a newly developed HD Coating to reduce reflections and flare, as well as a Super Protect Coating to repel water, dirt and grease.
Pentax has also incorporated its Quick-Shift Focus System, which enables users to instantly switch to manual focus after locking on to a subject using AF. This can be used at any time during AF operation.
The HD PENTAX-DA FISH-EYE 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 ED lens will be released at the end of July.
You can pre-order the new Pentax lens at Wex Photo Video in the UK or from Adorama in the US.
