Panasonic has announced the Lumix S5, a new full-frame mirrorless camera that will be formally announced on September 2.
The Panasonic S5 announcement today is a development announcement. The company is planning an online launch event for Wednesday, September 2 at 2pm UTC.
During this event we expect Panasonic will reveal the official Lumix S5 specs, price tag and release date. Or if not all of these details, then we would expect Panasonic will certainly be revealing more details.
We should also find out where the Panasonic S5 will sit within the company’s full-frame S series range of cameras. Our best guess is that the S5 will be an entry-level full-frame model, sitting below the S1, S1R and S1H.
