Panasonic has announced two new L-mount lenses, introducing the LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S (price tag £2,599) and LUMIX S Pro 16-35mm f/4 (price tag £1,499).
LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 OIS
The LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 O.I.S telephoto zoom is comprised of 22 elements in 17 groups, of which there are two Ultra Extra-low Dispersion lenses and three Extra-low Dispersion lenses.
A double focus system helps reduce aberrations, and the new Panasonic L-mount lens corrects astigmatism using an aspherical lens.
The LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8’s Optical Image Stabiliser, when combined with a camera’s in-body stabilisation and 5-AxisDual Image Stabilisation, makes it possible to shoot at shutter speeds up to seven stops slower.
The new Panasonic L-mount 70-200mm f/2.8 is also splash and dust resistant and can be used at temperatures down to -10C.
The LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm f/2.8 price tag will be £2,599/€2,949, with a release date set for January 2020.
LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm f/4
The L-mount LUMIX S Pro 16-35mm f/4 lens contains 12 elements in nine groups, of which there are three aspherical lenses, an Extra-low Dispersion lens and an Ultra-High Refractive Index lens.
The new L-mount wide-angle zoom uses a double-magnet linear motor for achieving a maximum 480fps high-speed sensor drive for fast, precise AF performance. There’s also a focus clutch for switching quickly between AF and manual focusing.
Inside is a 9-blade circular aperture, and the lens is also dust and splash resistant.
The LUMIX S PRO 16-35mm f/4 price tag will £1,499/€1,699, with a release date set for December.
