Netflix has approved the Panasonic BGH1 for use as a primary camera for its original productions, making it the first Micro Four Thirds camera to be given the honour.
The Panasonic BGH1 joins the full-frame Lumix SH1 as Panasonic’s other offering on the Netflix list. Netflix says that at least 90% of its Originals productions must be shot on one of its approved cameras.
Other cameras on the Netflix list are predominantly cinema cameras from Canon, Arri, RED, Sony, Blackmagic and more.
As the only Micro Four Thirds camera on the list, it’s also the cheapest camera on the Netflix approved list.
