Today OWC announced an update to the OWC Mercury Elite Pro mini, the compact version of the award-winning OWC Mercury Elite Pro desktop storage.
This new external drive features a USB 3.2 Type-C connection and is available in various options, from an empty enclosure to one with a 4TB SSD included.
The drive has been designed for use with Macs, PCs, iPad Pros, Chromebooks and Android Tablets.
Due to the USB Type-C new connection and enhanced internal controller, this enclosure, with SSD fitted, can reach transfer speeds of up to 542MB/s.
The drive is also ready to be used as an Apple Time Machine or Windows File History backup drive.
- As the drive has been designed to be used on the move, it’s bus-powered, meaning there is no need for an external power source.
