The Nikon 1 range of mirrorless cameras have been officially listed as discontinued, according to the company’s Japanese website.
Nikon’s official website has moved the Nikon 1 mirrorless cameras onto its lineup of discontinued cameras.
Now listed are the Nikon 1 J5, J4, J3, J2, J1, S2, S1, V3, V2, V1 and the Nikon 1 AW 1.
No statement was made about the move, but it has been seemingly in the works for some time.
Nikon 1 cameras began disappearing from retailer listings from late last year, with some marking them as discontinued. However, the company did release new firmware for the J5 fairly recently.
With the long-expected Nikon full-frame mirrorless camera supposedly coming soon, this move makes even more sense if the company plans to introduce a new mirrorless range.
