Meyer-Optik Goerlitz has announced what it’s calling the world’s fastest lens, introducing the Nocturnus 50mm f/0.95, price tag $2,999.
This third edition of the lens is available in Sony E, Fuji X and Leica M mounts, and its construction is comprised of 10 elements in 7 groups. It also boasts 15 aperture blades, promising smooth bokeh.
The new Nocturnus has a minimum focus distance of 50 cm and weighs 790 grams.
The Nocturnus 50mm f/0.95 is priced $2,999, Meyer-Optik has reduced the cost for the first 100 pre-orders to $1,799 and down to $1,749 for the first 50 pre-order units.
The Meyer-Optik Goerlitz Nocturnus 50mm f/0.95 release date is expected for August 2018.
