Manfrotto has launched the Gimbal 220 and Gimbal 460, price tag £359 / $499.95 and £529 / $749.95, respectively, which are new 3-axis gimbals for shooting handheld with your camera.

Manfrotto Gimbal 220

The Manfrotto Gimbal 220 offers a 4.85-pound payload and is designed for use with smaller mirrorless cameras. It boasts a touchscreen display for accessing its different modes, such as time-lapse or selfie, as well as most of the other direct controls.

The Gimbal 220 Pro Kit also includes a focus motor for real-time tracking, underslung handle for low-angle shots, quick release plate, mini tripod and shutter release cables.

The Gimbal 220 also offers independent locks on each axis and provides up to seven hours use per charge in normal operation. The battery can be recharged via a USB Type C port on the gimbal.

Manfrotto Gimbal 460

The Manfrotto Gimbal 460 supports a 10-pound payload and is designed for use with bigger cameras. Like the Gimbal 220, it features a touchscreen display for accessing the controls.

The Gimbal 460 offers lock, pan, follow, and all follow modes and provides 360° pan, 230° tilt, and 360° roll rotation.

The Gimbal 460 kit also includes a focus motor and remote controller. Inside the remote controller is an accelerometer, and there’s a control dial on the side.

Battery life is up to 12 hours on a single charge, and the Gimbal 460 quick release system uses two mounting plates.
