Manfrotto has announced the BeFree GT XPRO, which completes its BeFree Advanced range of travel tripod and introduces an integrated 90-degree column for low-angle shooting.
Available in aluminium and carbon fibre versions, the BeFree GT XPRO is aimed at travel photographers and folds down to the same 43cm compact size as the other tripods in the BeFree GT range.
The new built-in 90-degree column sits in the tripod’s top casting and is designed for overhead macro or low-angle photography.
There are three leg sections, which open using Manfrotto’s M-lock twist system, and it also comes with Manfrotto’s 496 Center Ball Head. The carbon fibre version weighs 1.76kg, while the aluminium version weighs in at 2kg.
The aluminium Befree GT XPRO price tag will be £269.95 / $289.99, while the carbon fibre version will be priced at £409.95 / $429.99. Both are available in the UK from retailers like Wex Photo Video, and in the US from Adorama and B&H Photo Video.
