LucidCam, a 3D 180-degree VR camera that launched a crowdfunding campaign two years ago, is now available for purchase and boasts improved specifications.

The LucidCam launched its crowdfunding campaign in 2015 promising 1080p resolution per eye from its binocular cameras.

However, Lucid VR, the company that makes the LucidCam, has revealed that the final product that is now shipping will feature 4K cameras instead. This is a significant jump in resolution.

The LucidCam will also boast 32GB of internal storage, as well as the option to expand your storage via an external microSD card slot.

The LucidCam also supports live streaming to Facebook, Youtube and Lucid VR’s iOS and Android apps.

Other features include an HDMI out port and a battery life of 1.5 hours.

The LucidCam price tag will be $499, and anyone who orders between now and July 26 can claim a 15% discount.
