Lomography has announced the Petzval 55mm f/1.7 – price starting from £349 – for use with Nikon Z, Canon RF and Sony E mounts.
The new Lomo lens is designed as a tribute to Joseph Petzval’s first portrait lens in 1840 and features a dedicated bokeh control ring for adjusting the strength of your background blur.
Inside the Lomo Petzval 55mm f/1.7 is an eight-blade stopless aperture diaphragm and a secondary Waterhouse Plate Aperture System for enhanced bokeh effects.
The Petzval 55mm f/1.7 is also comprised of 4 elements in 3 groups and offers a close focusing distance of 0.6m.
The Lomography Petzval 55mm f/1.7 price tag starts at £349 for the aluminium black version, and costs £399 and £499 for the brass varnish and brass black versions, respectively.
