Leica Camera has unveiled the SOFORT 2 Burton Edition, a special edition instant camera born from a collaboration with Burton Snowboards. The camera pays homage to Jake Burton Carpenter, the visionary who transformed snowboarding into a global sport and was known for capturing moments with his Leica camera.
This limited-edition SOFORT 2 model stands out with a bold “Jake Blue” design and the Burton logo on the top cover. It also comes with a custom Burton-branded camera bag. Like the standard SOFORT 2, this model bridges the gap between digital and instant photography, allowing users to print images directly from the camera. Additionally, it integrates with the Leica FOTOS App, enabling printing of smartphone and Leica camera images.
The Leica SOFORT 2 Burton Edition is designed for creative versatility, featuring modes such as selfie, landscape, and macro, along with ten lens and film effects. Its sleek, minimalist design embodies Leica’s signature aesthetic while offering a playful and functional instant photography experience.
The camera will be available worldwide from 11th February 2025 through Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorised dealers. The recommended retail price is £530 / €595 (including VAT).
