Leica has added a new lens to its SL system, announcing the APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH, which will be priced at $4,595.
The Leica APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH uses the L-Mount standard which means it is not only compatible with Leica L-mount cameras but the Panasonic S1 and S1R as well.
Leica says the new APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH boasts optimised optical and mechanical designs, along with high-quality coatings to cut down on reflections and prevent stray light.
The new Leica lens is sealed against dust and moisture, while inside the APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH new stepping motors boast a Dual Syncro Drive that travels the entire focus range in just 250 milliseconds.
Leica’s APO-Summicron-SL 35 mm f/2 ASPH will be released in mid-April.
