Leica has added two new compact lenses to its SL System, introducing the Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. and Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH.
Both new Leica lenses are designed for portability in a compact and lightweight body, while their fast aperture promises plenty of bokeh and shallow depth of field capability. The Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. and Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH also use a linear direct drive, which helps with the speed and accuracy of focusing, as well as ensuring it’s quiet enough for videography.
The Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. price tag will be £1,950, while the price of the Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH. will be £1,700.
What’s more, Leica is now offering four more SL-Kits with its new Summicron lenses, in addition to its two existing Leica SL2 or SL2-S and Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–70 kits.
The price of the new Leica SL2 kit with the Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. is £7,150, while the Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH., is £6,850.00 incl. VAT. The retail price of the Leica SL2-S kit with the Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. is £5,550. The Summicron-SL 50 f/2 ASPH. Price tag is £5,300.
