Laowa is set to launch new 7.5mm f/2 MFT and 15mm f/2 FE Zero-D lenses at Photokina 2016, Venus Optics has announced.
Designed for Sony’s full-frame E-mount cameras, the Laowa 15mm f/2 promises ‘close-to-zero’ optical distortion, according to the Chinese lens-maker.
The new Laowa 15mm f/2 lens also offers a 72mm filter thread.
Build-wise, the new Laowa lens weighs less than 500g and is 82mm in length.

Meanwhile, Venus Optics says its Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT is the widest rectilinear lens ever designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras.
Weighing just 170g and 55mm long, the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 offers a 110-degree angle of view and is an ideal optic for drone photography, the company says.
The Laowa 15mm f/2 FE Zero-D and the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 MFT will be released in early 2017. Pricing information was not available at the time of writing.
