Insta360 Flow Launches: Advanced AI-Powered Gimbal Stabilizer

News

Are you ready for a game-changer in the world of smartphone videography? Insta360, is known for cutting-edge cameras and VR solutions, has just unveiled the Insta360 Flow. This AI-powered tracking stabilizer promises to revolutionize how creators shoot videos using their smartphones. The Flow is available for purchase starting today via Insta360.com, Amazon (U.S., Europe, and Japan), and select retailers.

The Insta360 Flow combines a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer with advanced AI tracking, creating an all-in-one tool for pro-level smartphone videography. The innovative device is designed to offer ultra-smooth shots while allowing for unrivalled subject tracking. In addition to its stabilization and tracking capabilities, the Flow also comes with a built-in selfie stick, tripod, and power bank, making it the ultimate content creation tool for creators on the go.

According to JK Liu, the founder of Insta360, the company’s mission was to create a device that goes beyond basic gimbal functionality. “Powered by our AI technology, honed over years of research and development, Flow tracks, stabilizes, and edits content for you,” said Liu. The Flow’s Deep Track 3.0 technology enables real-time subject tracking and automatic shot framing, ensuring creators can capture the perfect shot every time.

Apart from its innovative tracking capabilities, the Insta360 Flow also offers many shooting tools built into one device, including a 215mm extension rod for selfies and low-angle shots, a tripod extending from the handle, and a 2900mAh battery that can charge your smartphone while recording. Additionally, a built-in cold shoe mount enables users to attach a microphone for improved audio without needing extra accessories.

Setting up the Flow is a breeze, thanks to its 1-step rapid deploy feature. Creators simply attach their phone via the magnetic phone clamp, unfold the gimbal, and they’re ready to start shooting. For iPhone users, the Insta360 app detects the Flow when attached, sending a notification to open the app and connect.

The Flow’s SmartWheel feature ensures that creators have full control over their shooting experience. A swipe of the wheel toggles between four main modes: Auto, Follow, Pan Follow, and FPV. Auto mode automatically adjusts gimbal settings based on user movements, while FPV mode simulates FPV drone-like movements, such as a barrel roll.

To further enhance the shooting experience, the Insta360 app offers AI-powered shooting and editing tools. Shot Genie, for example, recommends shooting techniques based on voice commands and the scene being filmed. Hoop Mode, a first-of-its-kind feature, tracks basketball games and saves highlights as individual clips for easy editing later.

Other shooting modes available include Panorama, TimeShift, Motion Timelapse, and Dolly Zoom. The Flow’s impressive 12-hour battery life ensures creators can shoot all day without needing to recharge. When it’s time to edit, the app’s FlashCut feature allows users to effortlessly piece together video clips with seamless transitions and effects.

Insta360 Flow retails for US$159.99 and comes with a magnetic phone clamp, charge cable, grip cover, and protective pouch. It is available in two colours: Summit White and Stone Gray. Optional accessories such as a Spotlight and custom decorative inserts can also be purchased to personalize the Flow.

The Insta360 Flow is poised to redefine smartphone videography, offering creators an advanced, all-in-one solution for capturing pro-level content.
