The Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphone will finally get its UK release date later this month, the company has announced.
The Mate 30 Pro will launch exclusively with Carphone Warehouse with a price tag set for £899. Pre-orders are available now, and the phone will begin shipping on its 20 February release date.
Carphone Warehouse is also offering customers who purchase a Huawei Mate 30 Pro a free Huawei Watch GT 2 (46mm Black Sport Edition) and a pair of Huawei Freebuds 3 while stocks last. Click here to pre-order under this promotion.
Announced in September 2019, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro currently sits atop DxOMark’s rankings of best smartphone cameras. Up until now the Mate 30 Pro has only been available in Europe.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro offers a four-camera setup that includes a 40-megapixel super-wide-angle camera with a new, larger 1/1.7-inch sensor and an f/1.8 aperture.
There’s another 40-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/1.6 aperture, which also has a 1/1.7-inch sensor, along with an 8-megapixel telephoto f/2.4 camera offering 3x zoom and a time-of-flight camera for gauging depth in a scene. The second 40MP and 8MP cameras are also image-stabilised.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro also marks the debut of the company’s new Kirin 990 processor, announced a few weeks ago. The Kirin 990 chipset enables faster image processing and helps the Mate 30 Pro deliver 4K video at 60fps. It can also capture 1080p video at 960fps or 720p footage at a staggering 7,680fps.
