Hollyland has unveiled the Cosmo C2, an advanced wireless video transmission system designed to revolutionise multi-camera broadcasting and electronic field production (EFP). Hollyland, renowned for its wireless intercom solutions, created the Cosmo C2 to address persistent challenges in the live broadcasting industry, including cable clutter, spatial restrictions, and synchronisation delays.
The Cosmo C2 introduces an innovative 2TX-1RX configuration, allowing two transmitters to send signals to a single receiver. This setup reduces the complexity of equipment, eliminates excessive cabling, and ensures superior synchronisation between camera feeds. With a remarkable line-of-sight wireless transmission range of 3,000 ft. (1,000 meters) and a back-to-back transmission distance of over 980 ft. (300 meters), the Cosmo C2 offers robust performance even in demanding environments. Its ultra-low latency of just 33 ms ensures smooth and reliable video feeds, perfect for live events and LED display synchronisation.
A standout feature is Hollyland’s proprietary HEVO 2.0 technology, which optimises live streaming by detecting interference and automatically switching to clean channels. This technology prevents glitches, stuttering, and environmental interference. The system also employs a frame rate compensation algorithm, enhancing visual fluidity and maintaining the last transmitted frame during signal interruptions, ensuring uninterrupted broadcasts during commercial live streams.
The Cosmo C2 is highly versatile, supporting HDMI and SDI connections, fractional frame rate signals, and multiple output options, including NDI, UVC, and RTMP. Users can enjoy seamless integration with local area network video streaming, direct UVC streaming via USB-C, and real-time cloud streaming without relying on external devices. These features simplify traditionally complex workflows, making the system an ideal choice for professional video production.
Power flexibility further enhances its utility. The transmitter supports DC and NP-F batteries, while the receiver offers compatibility with DC power and V-Mount batteries, ensuring reliable operation across diverse scenarios.
Hollyland has designed the Cosmo C2 with both professionals and content creators in mind, offering a compact, plug-and-play solution for live event broadcasting and EFP applications.
