Hasselblad has announced a new online ’Rent a Hasselblad’ hire scheme for its medium format cameras.
The ‘Rent a Hasselblad’ scheme is global in scope and covers cameras as well as lenses.
Users can simply book a camera and/or lens for a set amount of time, allowing them to use a Hasselblad medium format system for a particular shoot without having to invest the large sums of money required to purchase the cameras outright.
You can also reserve Hasselblad gear via the scheme and pick it up at your travel destination.
Customers can book the Hasselblad X1D and a selection of lenses and pick them up at one of 40 locations around the globe, Hasselblad says.
Hasselblad adds that it plans to expand both the humber of rental locations and camera models available.
What’s more, Hasselblad says photographers can offset any rental costs against the purchase price should they wish to buy the camera.
