Chinese lighting firm Godox plans to launch a ‘phone flash system,’ the Godox A1, which will consist of a flash and transmitter for your smartphone.
The Godox A1 will feature three built-in LED lights which you can use as a constant light source, and there is also a flash unit which you can trigger remotely, the company revealed on its Facebook page.
The Godox A1 also doubles as a transmitter for triggering Godox strobes operating at 2.4GHz.
Not much else is known about the Godox A1. Further specifications and price information will follow.
We’re certainly intrigued by this novel product. Most built-in flashes on phones we’ve used have been pretty poor.
And with camera phones improving all the time, this could help many mobile photographers take pictures they haven’t been able to achieve up until now.
