Fujifilm will issue a firmware update to the GFX 50S next month that will add new features such as Focus Bracketing and a 35mm Format mode.
The new GFX 50S firmware update is free and is scheduled for March 2018, the company says.
Focus Bracketing promises to enable photographers to shoot focus distance bracketing up to 999 frames. Fujifilm says: “When the photographer starts shooting, the focal location is shifted with each activation of the shutter by the step of focus shift set from 1 to 10.”
The GFX 50S’ new 35mm Format Mode will enable users to shoot central 36.0mm x 24.0mm (30.5M) cropped images as both JPEG and RAW files.
Fujifilm says: “When using 35mm format adapters, it will be easier to adjust the image size to 35mm format image circle lenses. It will also enable the photographer to use the Fn button for quicker setting changes.”
Lastly, the March 2018 GFX 50S firmware update will expand the compatibility of Fujifilm’s H Mount Adapter G.
