DJI has unveiled the Avata 360, a new flagship FPV drone designed to merge immersive flight with high-resolution 360-degree capture. Announced on 26 March 2026, the drone introduces 8K/60fps HDR 360 video recording powered by 1-inch-equivalent sensors, marking a significant leap in aerial imaging capabilities for both enthusiasts and professional creators. At the core of the Avata 360 is its dual-lens system, allowing users to switch between full 360-degree capture and a more traditional single-lens mode. In its primary configuration, the drone captures expansive 360-degree footage at up to 8K resolution and 120MP stills, offering extensive flexibility in post-production. Footage can be reframed after shooting, enabling creators to extract multiple compositions from a single flight. For more conventional shooting, the single-lens mode supports 4K/60fps recording in a familiar FPV style.
