Blackmagic Design has announced the URSA Mini Pro 12K, price tag $9,995 an update to its popular cinema camera.
The new Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K boasts an 80-megapixel Super 35 sensor with a resolution of 12,288 x 6480 pixels. What’s more, the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K can record 12K video at up to 60fps.
Other frame rates include 8K at up to 110fps and 4K at up to 22fps.
Another interesting feature with the sensor is that it allows users to record video in 12K, 8K or 4K in-camera without having to crop.
Other features of the new Blackmagic cinema camera include dual CFast card slots and dual UHS‑II SD card slots.
There’s also a USB‑C expansion port for recording to fast SATA and NVMe drives at 10 Gb/s, wireless Bluetooth control via an iOS or Android device and the kit includes the Arri PL lens mount – but can be switched to Canon EF or Nikon F lenses.
