Apple will likely release an iPhone with a triple lens design in the second half of 2019, according to a new report in the Taipei Times.
The article, which is based off research by Yuanta Securities analyst Jeff Pu, doesn’t offer many more details on what the three-camera iPhone’s other specs could be, but it would likely aim to match the recently launched Huawei P20 Pro and its three-camera design, which we ranked quite highly and was deemed as a game-changer by DxOMark.
As Mac Rumors points out, the triple-lens iPhone would likely be a third generation of the iPhone X, and we could probably expect a release date sometime around September 2019.
Other market analysts have said that no significant changes to the iPhone X’s dual-lens design should be expected in 2018, which makes a 2019 release date all the more likely.
