News

Panasonic has announced a new firmware update that will improve the compatibility of its new Tripod Grip DMW-SHGR1 with six of its Lumix G series mirrorless cameras.

Due for release on 21 July, the new Panasonic webcam firmware will be available for the GH5, GH5S, G9, G90/G95, G80/G85 and the GX9.

The new Panasonic firmware will also add ‘operational stability’ with the LUMIX G VARIO 12–32mm f/3.5–5.6 lens in those cameras.

What’s more, Panasonic has said it will extend its webcam functionality for the GH5, G9, GH5S, S1, S1R and S1H to macOS machines.

Originally debuting for Windows users last month, Panasonic’s LUMIX Streaming beta for macOS will soon be available through Panasonic’s LUMIX Tether utility.
