3 Legged Thing has unveiled an updated version of its renowned Zelda L-bracket for Nikon Z5, Z6, Z7, Z6 II, and Z7 II cameras. Named Zelda QD, the revamped model introduces innovative features such as a quick-detach (QD) socket and compatibility with Peak Design’s Capture v3 clips, catering to photographers seeking enhanced versatility and convenience.
The QD socket offers photographers a flexible solution for attaching QD straps and accessories, facilitating secure and comfortable camera handling. By incorporating a robust glass-reinforced nylon adapter and stainless steel screw, the bracket now works seamlessly with Peak Design’s Capture system, expanding options for carrying and securing Nikon cameras.
Designed to fit the Nikon Z series perfectly, the Zelda QD retains essential features that made its predecessor popular. It offers full access to side ports and battery compartments, while thoughtfully designed cut-outs allow for easy use of the rear tilt screens. A curved upright accommodates the camera’s strap lug, and the base includes a slot for accessory attachment and easier access to the lens release button.
Additional ¼”-20 screw threads on the base and vertical aspects support accessory arms, such as 3LT’s new Pivot magic arms, making it ideal for advanced setups. It is also compatible with FTZ and FTZ Mk II lens adaptors and the WR-R10 wireless remote adapter.
The Zelda QD is available in Copper and Darkness (matte black), with a sleek design that blends durability and style. As founder Danny Lenihan noted, the update reflects the legacy of the original Zelda bracket while meeting the evolving needs of modern photographers.
