It takes the classic 20-inch beauty dish — normally a bulky, awkward thing to transport — and reimagines it as a collapsible, magnetic modifier that packs flat, built around MagMod’s familiar magnetic modular system. For anyone who has wrestled a rigid metal dish into a kit bag, that alone is a meaningful quality-of-life improvement. The clever part is the construction. Rather than rigid metal, the Beauty Dish XL 20 uses a durable metallic-silicone material with a hardened steel ring, so it collapses down for transport and storage yet holds its shape in use — and shrugs off the knocks that dent traditional dishes.
