Gimbal manufacturer, Zhiyun has announced the Weebill 2, an update to its popular Weebill-S that’s designed for use with cameras such as the Sony A7III and the Canon 5D Mark IV with 24-70mm F/2.8 lenses.
According to Zhiyun the WEEBILL 2 has a lightweight frame with ‘optimal responsiveness and stabilisation capabilities’ and an HD touchscreen that flips to to give an easier means of control.
The new Zhiyun the Weebill 2 is also compatible with the company’s MasterEye Visual Controller which combines an image receiver, monitor and motion controller.
Great stabilisation
Zhiyun has employed the Infineon two-filter vector-splitting sensor and upgraded motor torque plus an improved core algorithm for enhanced stability. These features combine to enable the Weebill 2 to detect and compensate for a broad range of handheld shake – even in extreme conditions.
Vari-angle screen
In a first for gimbals, the Zhiyun WeeBill 2 has a vari-angle 2.88-inch, colour HD touchscreen that simplifies the interface and enables easy parameter adjustments as well footage monitoring. It also facilitates intelligent features such as one-touch Smart Follow, Timelapse and Gesture Control without having to use the ZY PLAY smartphone app.
Sling-grip
Like the Weebill-S, the Weebill 2 has an easy-to-carry sling grip design which enables low-angle shooting and is comfortable to use during long shoots.
Zhiyun MasterEye Visual Controller and Image Transmission
The Weebill 2 is compatible with Zhiyun’s MasterEye Visual Controller – which is included in the Weebill Pro+ Kit. This eliminates the need for a separate monitor, image receiver and motion controller.
In addition, the TransMount Image Transmission Transmitter AI supports up to 1080p and 60fps output, with time delay down to 60ms and a maximum transmission distance of 150m.
