Zeiss has announced a new lens for full-frame Canon and Nikon DSLRs, introducing the Zeiss Milvus 35mm f1.4, price tag $1,999 / €1,999.
Now the tenth lens in the Milvus family, which offers focal lengths ranging from 15 to 135mm, the Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 is aimed at portrait and landscape photographers.
The new Zeiss Milvus lens boasts a new optical design that the company says helps reduce chromatic aberrations almost entirely.
The Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 is made of metal and is dust- and splash-proof, the company says.
Zeiss says the Milvus 35mm f/1.4 is also suitable for filmmakers. Its manual focus with a large rotation angle can be operated with the aid of a ZEISS Lens Gear with a follow-focus system, the company says.
What’s more, Zeiss says it has also matched the colour characteristics of the ten Milvus lenses to further aid filmmaking.
You can pre-order the Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/1.4 in Canon mount and Nikon mount now, with more information on Zeiss’s website.
