Venus Optics, Yongnuo and Mediaedge have joined the Micro Four Thirds standard and will soon be releasing compatible products, Olympus and Panasonic have announced.
Venus Optics already has several MFT lenses in its range under the Laowa brand, and the announcement should see this number expand.
Yongnuo, a manufacturer of lenses, lighting and other accessories, has also developed some products for Micro Four Thirds users in the past, namely the YN43 MFT smartphone camera, seen above.
Mediaedge develops video streaming and display systems.
While these companies have already been developing products for Micro Four Thirds, this announcement effectively certifies official support from Panasonic and Olympus. This will mean more cooperation and sharing of information.
