Venus Optics has announced the Laowa 15mm f/2 Zero-D for Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts, and the Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Zoom for Nikon Z cameras.
Venus Optics says the price tag for both the Laowa 15mm f/2 and 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 lenses will be $849.
And while the Laowa 15mm f/2 will be released in both Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts, the company says it ‘has no plans’ to produce the Laowa 10-18mm lens for the RF mount, only Nikon Z.
The Laowa 15mm f/2 Zero-D lens is constructed of 12 elements in 9 groups, which includes two aspherical elements and three Extra-low Dispersion elements.
Its close-focusing distance is 6 inches, and the lens weighs just 1.1lbs and measures in at 3 inches long.
The Laowa 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 offers a field of view from 102 degrees up to 130 degrees. Like its counterpart launched today, it weighs just 1.1lbs and measures 3.5 inches.
Its optical construction is comprised of 14 elements in 10 groups, with two aspherical elements and one ED element.
Venus Optics already has 15mm f/2 and 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 optics available in Sony E mount.
