Venus Optics has announced the Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift lens, price tag from $1,199, for use with a range of full-frame cameras.

The Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift lens is compatible with Canon RF and EF, Nikon Z and F and Sone FE mounts. Venus Optics says its release date will be February 2021.

Venus Optics says the Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Shift is the widest shift lens for a full frame camera on the market, offering an angle of view is 110° and a 65mm image circle.

What’s more, the 65mm image circle also covers medium format sensors with no vignetting, Venus Optics says.

The 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift lens barrel can also be rotated through 360 degrees to change the direction of the shift.

The Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift is comprised of 17 elements in 11 groups, of which two are aspherical elements.

Other features include a 20cm close focusing distance.

The 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift release date will be late November 2020 for the Canon EF and Nikon F versions. The Canon RF, Nikon Z and Sony FE versions will be released in February 2021.
