Building on the success of the ultra-compact Veo 2 travel tripod range comes the new VEO 2X.

The new tripod is billed as a 4-in-1; this refers to the uses such as photography, vlogging, video and sports scope.

It’s an unusual pitch but has been made due to a unique addition to the ball head in the form of an optional panhandle. This enables a ball head to be used as a pan head and shows real innovation in the design.

We’ll bring you a full review soon to see how well this new design of ball head works.

As ever there’s the monopod leg and of course the ability to pack down small making it an ideal travel companion.

The VEO 2X is available with several different options; 20mm, 23mm and 26mm leg diameter all available in aluminium and carbon fibre. The smallest of which weighs in at 1140g and packs down to 400mm.

Despite the compact size and weight, the largest of the VEO 2X tripods can comfortably support up to a 12kg load.

Other features include an Arca Swiss compatible ball head, with the option to add the panhandle when needed. Twist leg locks with three angles 20º, 50º and 80º with a reversible or removable centre column enabling extra-low shots.

In the bag, there’s a choice of rubber or spiked feet so the tripod can quickly be adapted to fit the terrain your shooting.

The monopod leg can be removed in seconds and attached to the centre column enabling extra length and a height of 1575mm
