Drone users in the UK could be forced to sit safety awareness tests if a proposed law is passed in parliament.
The new legislation put forward by the government would affect users of any drone weighing more than 250g. Anyone flying a drone this size would need to register and sit a test.
What’s more, the bill would also mandate that no drone weighing more than 250g could be used near an airport or above 400 feet.
Police would also be granted new measures to seize drones they suspect have been used for criminal activity.
The bill is due to be published in spring 2018.
