Transcend launches Lightning range of storage for iOS devices

The digital storage company Transcend has launched a new Lightning range of products designed specifically for iOS devices.

The new Transcend Lightning drives are compatible with Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod devices.

They consist of the company’s new RDA2W Smart Reader and JetDrive Go flash drives equipped with a Lightning connector and apps that allow for easy transfer of files between Apple iOS devices and computers.

Devices supported by the new Transcend Lightning range includes: iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad (4th generation), iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini, iPod touch (6th generation) and iPod touch (5th generation).

Transcend’s RDA2W Smart Reader features card slots for both SD and microSD cards, and offers data backups, card formatting, file encryption, file compression and decompression, direct saving of audio recordings to memory cards and more.

Meanwhile, Transcend’s JetDrive Go 300 and JetDrive Go 500 combine a Lightning connector and a regular USB 3.1 (Gen 1) connector into a single flash drive, powering the back up and transfer of files among iOS devices. The USB 3.1 Gen 1 connector offers transfer speeds of up to 130MB.
