Tokina has announced a new PL-mount 65mm T1.5 Cinema Vista Prime Lens, price tag $7,499, which offers a larger-than-full-frame image circle.
The Tokina 65mm T1.5 offers a 46.7mm image circle that is designed for capturing 8K resolution. It’s fast T-stop of 1.5 is also ideal for shooting in low light and creating shallow depth of field effects.
Other features include a 9-blade aperture with curved blades for creating natural-looking bokeh, while aspherical elements and lens coatings help reduce chromatic aberrations.
The new Tokina lens is all metal and shares the same front lens diameter and gear positioning on the focus and iris rings as the other lenses in Tokina’s series.
