Tenba releases Solstice range of backpacks

News

Tenba is steadily becoming a formidable force when it comes to high-quality camera bags. The company’s latest range the Tenba Solstice see’s three new backpacks designed for everyday and travel.

Available in three new sizes and in two colour options, either a traditional camera bag black or a more modern blue (more two-tone grey / blue).

Tenba Solstice 12L Backpack

The smallest of the range is the 12L version. Perfect as a day-pack for mirrorless and DSLR users.

The 12L space will be enough to fit in 2-4 lenses (up to 70-200mm f/2.8) and an iPad mini. As with just about every new bag release (or so it seems) you could also fit a DJI Mavic Drone instead of or alongside the lenses.

Exterior dimensions are 46 x 23 x 20cm and inner 44 x 19 x 15 cm with an overall weight of 0.9kg, without the kit.

This backpack is nice and narrow, so it’s a great choice for climbers and cyclists who require a camera bag.

The Solstice 12L is available now for £120

Tenba Solstice 20L Backpack

Taking a step-up in size, the Solstice 20L adds space for two additional lenses and a few more accessories.

Again you could also fit in a DJI Mavic Pro and a full-sized iPad Air or 10-inch tablet.

The external dimensions are slightly larger at 48cm x 28cm x 23 cm with the inner at 47 x 24 x 17cm and weighing in at 1.2kg.

The 20L is again a nice slim backpack, so it’s great for walking and everyday use.

The Solstice 20L is available for £150

Tenba Solstice 24L

The last and largest backpack in the range is the 24L. This pack is designed for the full-blown DSLR user with space for up to 7 lenses including that all-important 70-200mm f/2.8.

You can also fit in a tablet or laptop of up to 13-inches and there’s plenty of additional room for filters and other accessories.

The exterior is much larger than the other two at 51 x 30 x 25cm, while the inner is 50 x 27 x 19cm, it weighs in at 1.5kg.

The large Solstice 24L is ideal for those needing to carry a greater quantity of kit or go off travelling.

The Solstice 24L is available for £175.

Backpack features

All three backpacks feature tough material designed to maximise kit protection including YKK zippers and water-repellent nylon.

Ensuring that your kit is kept safe at all times, gear is accessed through the back of the pack. This means that it is inaccessible when the pack is in use, making it great for travelling.

Rear access also enables you to get to your gear without removing the pack completely, which is ideal for muddy conditions, especially at this time of year.

Within each pack is a large device sleeve that will hold and protect a tablet or laptop – depending on the model.

The internal dividers have been designed to be movable so you can configure the inside of the bag to suit your needs.

On the side of each pack is a large pocket that’s ideal for holding a drinks bottle or tripod. In addition, there’s a rainproof cover and compression straps to ensure everything is held in tightly and kept safe.

The new range is available from mid-November. For more details check out www.tenba.com
