Techart has launched what it’s calling the world’s first Sony E to Nikon Z mount autofocus adapter, the TZE-01, priced at $249.

The Chinese manufacturer’s TZE-01 adapter will allow Nikon Z6 and Z7 users to mount Sony E-mount lenses and retain all AF functionality. Techart says AF-S, AF-C and MF modes are also supported in video mode, as well as shooting stills.

Both Face and Eye Detection, as well as other functions like vibration reduction and timelapse, are also still available with the TZE-01 adaptor.

Techart says its new Sony to Nikon Z adaptor supports most Sony E-mount Sigma, Tamron and Zeiss AF lenses, as well, including popular options like the Tamron 28-75mm, Batis 25mm f/2, Sony 24mm f/1.4 GM and Sigma 35mm f/1.4.

Other features include a lens dock for upgrading the TZE-01 adaptor’s firmware.

Techart says a release date is due for the end of June. Visit Techart’s website for more information.
