Tamron has announced the development of the Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD and 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 lenses for Sony E mount cameras.

Due for release later in 2021, the new Tamron lenses offer fast apertures and will be compatible with the company’s new Tamron Lens Utility software that allows users to customise lens functions and update firmware through the lens.

The Tamron 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD offers a maximum wide open aperture of f/2 and provides a versatile focal length from wide-angle to telephoto.

Its VXD linear motor promises quiet, precise AF performance and it offers a minimum focus distance of 0.33m.

Price information will be announced later in the year, Tamron says.
