The downturn in the number of interchangeable lens cameras being shipped has continued for another month, according to the latest report from CIPA.

The Camera & Imaging Products Association in Japan has published its November report which shows that 1,003,265 interchangeable lens cameras were shipped in November 2017.

This is down compared to the 1,243,100 that were shipped in the same period in 2016.

You can find the full breakdown of the numbers here.

Companies that participate in CIPA’s statistics include Olympus, Canon, Sigma, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic, Fujifilm, Ricoh and a host of other companies within the imaging industry.

That’s a pretty brutal fall. Unfortunately we’re looking at higher prices to make up for the lack of volume. It’s only a matter of time before we loose more manufactures.
