STC expands range with new Clip Filters for Olympus cameras

STC, the Taiwanese company that makes Clip Filters, a range of filters that clip onto your camera’s sensor, has introduced a new series designed for Olympus cameras.

Launched originally for use with Sony full-frame cameras, Clip Filters have expanded to Canon (full-frame and APS-C, Nikon (full-frame), Fujifilm and Pentax systems and are now available Micro Four Thirds.

Clip Filters are made of A2 stainless steel with double-sided NANO anti-smudge coating. The filters are installed by removing your lens and placing it directly over your camera’s sensor. STC’s website says:

Specially designed Clip-shaped structure could be easily imbedded and firmly stabilized while attaching the lens on camera body. Therefore, the paralleled focal plane could ensure focusing performance clearly. The color shift issue that may occur due to the wide angle SLR lens in peripheral areas of the image also can be solved.

William Wu, CEO and Lead Design Engineer, STC Optical and Chemical, said: “Initial installation fears quickly disappear once people see the results of our excellent products; the fact that only a single filter is required for use with any lens is a real bonus. We are excited to announce our range of Clip Filters for Olympus/M43 systems as we continue with our rollout of compatible products.”
