Vlogging is big news at the moment and to help meet the demand for cameras that are suitable for vloggers, Sony has introduced the ZV-1.

While the Sony ZV1 may look very similar to a Sony RX100 series compact camera, it has a few new features that make it uniquely suited for use as a vlogging camera. For a start, it’s Sony’s first compact camera to feature a vari-angle screen that can be flipped around for viewing from in front.

There are also features like Real-time Eye AF to get eyes sharp in video and stills, Face Priority autoexposure that priorities faces when recording, Bokeh switch to help new vloggers get the depth of field they want and Product Showcase that’s designed to get products that are held up to the camera in focus. There’s also a 3-capsule microphone built-in and a slot-on windshield.

Sam Pilling from Sony UK explains it all in the video below, which was recorded via Zoom.
