Sony and Vitec Photographic, the company that owns Manfrotto, Gitzo and a host of other camera accessory brands, have announced plans to develop accessories specifically for Sony’s Alpha series cameras.
The collaboration will launch its first products in 2018, beginning with Manfrotto Befree tripod for Sony Alpha cameras.
The full range of Sony accessories will include new Manfrotto and Gitzo tripods, plates, photo and video heads that are aimed at professional users.
Manfrotto will also release a customised version of Digital Director.
Vitec and Sony have said they will showcase their new range of accessories at events and trade shows worldwide throughout 2018.
