Sony has added a new lens to its full-frameE-mount range, introducing the the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS Standard Zoom (model SEL24105G), price tag £1,200 / €1,350.

The new Sony full-frame lens covers the wide-angle to mid-telephoto range and is aimed at photographers shooting everything from landscapes to portraits and weddings.

The Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 also weighs just 663g, making it the lightest lens in its class, Sony says.

The Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS also uses Sony’s Nano AR coating to minimise flare and ghosting, and boasts a circular aperture to deliver strong bokeh.

Other features include a minimum focus distance of 1.25ft, a customisable focus hold button and a dust- and moisture-resistant design.

Sony’s new FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS lens has an optical design of four aspherical lens elements, two of which are high-precision AA (advanced aspherical) lenses. There are also three strategically located ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements that work in combination with the aspherical lens elements to minimise chromatic aberration.
