Sony has released a firmware update for the newly announced A7 III, which resolves a ‘blinking pixels’ issue reported by some users.

Sony A7 III firmware version 1.01 fixes what Sony says is a blinking pixels phenomenon at the bottom edge of an image during XAVC 4K (PAL 25p) recording, depending on what combination of camera settings you’re using.

The Sony A7 III firmware update also fixes and issue where users said the touch panel could sometimes become unresponsive.

The update also improves the overall stability of Sony’s latest full-frame camera, the company says.
